Across Nepal, lending still runs on paper, spreadsheets and long queues. Borrowers wait days for a decision, officers re-key the same details across disconnected systems, and compliance lives in a binder that nobody wants to open at audit time. We think that gap deserves better — so we're building it. Today we're introducing Khepee, our upcoming digital lending infrastructure for Nepal, and opening early access for licensed institutions.

What is Khepee?

Khepee is a complete, white-label lending platform that NRB-licensed banks, finance companies, microfinance institutions and cooperatives can run under their own brand. It handles the whole lending lifecycle as one connected system — from a borrower's first tap to the final regulatory extract:

  • Origination — digital applications in minutes, not days.
  • Digital KYC — identity verification with liveness checks.
  • Decisioning — rule-based credit decisions, human-in-the-loop.
  • Disbursement & servicing — schedules, reminders and collections.
  • Audit trail & NRB reporting — every state change recorded and ready to report.

From a mobile application to an NRB extract, designed as one connected flow.

You hold the licence. Khepee holds the tech.

This is the idea at the heart of Khepee. We are a technology provider, not a lender. The institution brings the licence, the capital, the credit policy and the final approval — and keeps the borrower relationship and custody of funds. Khepee brings the software that makes all of it fast, consistent and auditable. There's no NRB application from you to us, and no capital from us to you. Money never leaves your settlement accounts.

A clean split: the BFI provides licence, capital and approval; Khepee provides the technology

Compliance in code, not a policy PDF

In lending, the rules aren't optional — so we don't leave them to a document that someone has to remember to follow. Khepee enforces NRB rules like the 36-month tenure cap and the loan ceilings at four independent layers — schema, service, database and CI constants. A rushed configuration simply cannot produce a non-compliant loan, and every change is written to a complete, exportable audit trail.

Four interfaces, one platform

Everyone who touches a loan gets a purpose-built surface, all powered by the same core:

  • Borrower app — iOS & Android, in Nepali and English, to apply and track.
  • Officer console — one ordered queue; approve or decline with a reason.
  • Admin panel — products, limits, roles, branding and reports.
  • Open API — a documented, versioned system of record.

Multi-tenant and isolated by design

Multi-tenancy isn't a feature we bolted on — it's the foundation. One Khepee engine serves many institutions with completely isolated data; a lookup across tenants returns "not found." Each institution gets its own tenant, products, limits, roles and branding, so your data and your borrowers are always yours alone.

Coming soon — become a launch partner

Khepee is upcoming, and we're onboarding a small group of licensed institutions as launch partners before general availability. Early partners help shape the roadmap and go live first. If you run a licensed BFI in Nepal and want digital lending under your own brand — without building it yourself — we'd love to talk.

A Lacspace product

Khepee is built by Lacspace, a global technology company building a connected ecosystem across software, AI and beyond. Khepee is Lacspace's move into lending infrastructure for Nepal — the technology layer that lets the institutions who already hold the trust, the licence and the capital serve their borrowers digitally. You can follow along and request early access at khepee.com, or explore the product on Lacspace.

Frequently asked questions

What is Khepee?

Khepee is digital lending infrastructure for Nepal — a complete, white-label lending platform that NRB-licensed banks, finance companies, microfinance institutions and cooperatives can run under their own brand. It covers the entire journey: loan origination, digital KYC, rule-based credit decisioning, disbursement, servicing, collections, a full audit trail and NRB reporting. Khepee is a technology provider, not a lender.

When is Khepee launching?

Khepee is upcoming. We are currently onboarding a small group of licensed institutions as launch partners before general availability. If you run a licensed BFI in Nepal, you can request early access now at khepee.com/contact.

What does "You hold the licence, Khepee holds the tech" mean?

It describes a clean split of responsibility. The institution provides the NRB licence, the capital, the credit policy and the final approval, and it keeps custody of funds and the borrower relationship. Khepee provides the technology — the borrower app, officer console, admin panel and API, plus KYC, decisioning, servicing and reporting. Money never leaves your settlement accounts and never touches Khepee.

How does Khepee handle NRB compliance?

Compliance is enforced in code, not left to a policy PDF. NRB rules — such as the 36-month tenure cap and the loan ceilings — are enforced at four independent layers (schema, service, database and CI constants), so a rushed configuration cannot produce a non-compliant loan. Every state change is recorded for a complete audit trail.

Is Khepee multi-tenant and secure?

Yes. Multi-tenancy is treated as the foundation, not an add-on. One Khepee engine serves many institutions with completely isolated data — a lookup across tenants simply returns "not found." Each institution gets its own tenant, products, limits, roles and branding.

Who builds Khepee?

Khepee is a product of Lacspace, a global technology company. Lacspace builds and operates the platform; the lending itself is always done by the licensed institution.
