Prices run from 0 to 800 coins. 19 courses are free — the whole of Foundations plus a handful spread across the other tracks — and the most common price is 300 coins. With 10,000 coins at signup and no per-trade fee, a careful learner can work through most of the curriculum without ever topping up.
How learning turns into level
StockYatra tracks experience separately from coins. Coins are your trading balance; XP is your learning record, and your level is simply your XP divided by 100, plus one. Every action in the academy adds to it.

Your level is public: it shows on your profile, in the friends list and in the Yatra Users directory, where other traders use it to judge how far along the path you are. That is by design — it lets a beginner find a slightly more advanced study partner, and it gives the leaderboard a second dimension beyond coins.

The academy is not a gate you have to pass before trading. It is built to sit beside the terminal: read a Foundations course, place a paper trade on live NEPSE data, and come back to the next course when the trade raises a question you cannot answer. Are the courses free?
19 of the 57 are free, including the entire Foundations track. The rest are priced in virtual coins, from 100 up to 800 for the most advanced strategy courses. Coins are the same virtual currency you trade with — no real money is involved.
How do I earn XP and level up?
Enrolling in a course earns 20 XP, finishing a lesson earns 10 XP, and opening a paper trade earns 5 XP. Quizzes pay their full XP reward at 80% accuracy or better and half at 50% or better. Your level is your XP divided by 100, plus one.
Do quizzes cost coins?
Some quizzes are priced in virtual coins (for example 100 or 500), and passing them earns XP. Coins spent in the academy are virtual and never real money.
Is the academy specific to Nepal?
Yes. The Buying & Selling track covers orders, TMS and settlement as they work on NEPSE; the Primary Market track covers IPOs and instruments; the Sector Deep-Dives cover the sectors Nepali investors actually trade, such as banks, hydropower and insurance.
